CANCELLATIONS AND RETURNS
If you decide to cancel a direct ship order while it is in transit, you may be charged a 25% to 50% restocking fee and return freight to manufacturer. These fees also apply when returning direct ship orders.
RECEIVING SHIPMENTS: DAMAGE AND SHORTAGE
The freight carrier assumes responsibility for delivery of the order and is not required to deliver inside. Please call ViPS if you are in need of any of the following services (may require additional costs):
▪ Call ahead services
▪ Inside delivery
▪ Lift-gate delivery
▪ Installation
Before you sign acceptance of your order you should:
- Count the number of cartons to be sure the full shipment is being delivered. Note any shortage on the freight bill before you sign for acceptance. (Even if shrink-wrapped together on a pallet, the number of pieces must match the freight bill.)
- Inspect cartons completely for broken seals or other freight damage. Please unpack and examine your order before signing freight receipt. Note any damage on freight receipt before signing acceptance. If the driver will NOT let you inspect the cartons, you must sign the receipt as damaged.
REPORTING DAMAGES
A freight carrier’s liability is limited to claims reported within seven days of receipt of shipment. If there are damages, notify V.i.P.S. immediately of the damaged items and or problems. Please keep the original cartons until the problem is resolved. If a freight receipt has been signed without notation, a claim for any damage (including “concealed” damage) will be denied by the freight carrier.
If you encounter any difficulties with your shipment, please contact ViPS immediately so we can assist you. Thank you.
